QUARANTINE FILM CHALLENGE 2020

Creation of a short film about the current global pandemic situation.

The NIFF Festival is launching the QUARANTINE FILM CHALLENGE, inviting participants to create a short film about the current global pandemic. Those interested in participating—professionals and film enthusiasts with the sensitivity and talent to create audiovisual pieces—can use any available medium, from a mobile phone to a professional camera; there are no technical limitations.

The theme is QUARANTINE and all artistic variations that fit within this theme, which also cuts across the rest of the NIFF themes. The length of the piece must be between 1 and 12 minutes, including credits.

The winning piece will receive the Melitón Quarantine Film Challenge, which includes a trophy and diploma, and no cash prize. The finalist projects will be screened during the festival. The works must be submitted to the festival's Festhome platform between March 27 and July 31.
