When parents decide to film their children, they are capturing a reflection; the reflection of their lives.

In the 1970s, Jesús Sarasa filmed his three daughters on Super 8 film. Thirty years later, his daughter Cristina recorded her three children on VHS.

Film Directors

Hugo López Sarasa (Pamplona, ​​2000) began his career in the audiovisual world through photography. He spent several years learning the technique and working as a portrait and event photographer.
Since 2019, he has directed ALMA, the Almassora International Short Film Festival (Castellón).

 

Lucía Silvestre is currently studying Audiovisual Communication at the University of Navarra. The parent-child bond, or the loss of it, is one of the director's greatest interests.

(2022) 9' SPANISH - SPAIN
For many people, the sea is synonymous with peace, freedom, and fulfillment, but the story of Carmen and her family holds something much more special. She is an 18-year-old girl with an intellectual disability whose limitations disappear when she enters the water. Thanks to the perseverance of Julián, her father, she learned to swim and even scuba dive when he bought her a Decathlon mask. He provided all the tools Carmen needed to feel fulfilled in the water.

Marina Fortuño

Film Director

Marina González Fortuño (Pamplona, ​​2000) began her studies in Audiovisual Communication due to her interest in the behind-the-scenes aspect of cinema. Furthermore, life experiences, such as the death of her father, gave her a sensitivity that has led her to reflect on how to tell intimate and personal stories through images. The goal of her work focuses on bringing the concrete through universal channels to convey reality to as many people as possible.

Pol is an ordinary young high school student who has to face various hardships in his daily life. However, his daily difficulties lead him to jump out of his school window. Before doing so, he writes a farewell letter in which he describes the suffering his classmates and teachers have put him through.

Rose struggles with her mental health, but does her best to remain calm. She and her daughter live in a region where a dangerous virus has forced the government to impose curfews and close borders, abandoning people to their fate.

Film Director

I was born in Turkey and trained in Transportation Engineering and Maritime Management. I worked as a chief officer on maritime transport vessels for seven years, and during this time I improved my film knowledge by reading and watching film history. I also wrote three feature film scripts. I received my initial education in filmmaking at the Istanbul Digital Film Academy from 2018 to 2019. I then continued my training in Barcelona, ​​participating in the one-year international filmmaking master's program at the Escola Superior I Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC), and received a scholarship for the directing master's program for the upcoming season, which begins in 2022.

Oblivion has settled on Robles, a rough, long-haired old man who always puts an end to his problems by driving miles. Robles can't understand what's happening when all the mourners crowd around him at a funeral to offer their condolences. He has to get out of there. He has to flee the city, the hubbub, and the mourning. He puts his foot down in his Citroën Saxo and begins his race to catch up with Alzheimer's.

Daniel de Luis Lezáun

Film Director

Daniel De Luis (Pamplona, ​​1999) decided to abandon the Economics degree he had begun in Madrid to study Audiovisual Communication. After a year attending the Cine Doré screenings, he devoted himself to filmmaking. Throughout his studies, he worked on numerous projects, primarily as a director and screenwriter. One of his most personal works is "Genealogía de una villavesa," a short documentary dedicated to his entire family's profession.

Aaron Pérez Pardiñas

Film Director

Aarón Pérez Pardiñas is an audiovisual director and producer born in A Coruña, Spain, on 19 December 1998. He studied Audiovisual and Entertainment Production and is currently studying a degree in Digital Creation, Animation and Video Games at the University of A Coruña. Aarón has produced and directed several audiovisual projects, but “Welcome to Gardenland'' is the first project with his new amateur studio, Cosmic Animation Studio.

Estela del Carmen was born on June 5, 2004. She has been an actress since she was 7 years old. "Dis-connected" is her first short film as a director.

A look at the daily life of Maria Jesús, a sixty-year-old cheesemaker born in the Baztán Valley. Maria Jesús is the fifth generation of a cattle-raising family, and her business has come to an end; her daughters don't want to inherit it. It's time to rent or sell. This is a small goodbye to a lifetime in the countryside, to an entire generation. An exhibition about women's work in the rural world.

Marina Velázquez

Film Director

Marina Velázquez (Madrid, Spain, 26/10/1991). Her first television project was as a screenwriter for the series "Centro Médico," followed by "Estoy Vivo," "Mentiras," "Sky Rojo," and "Mi futura ex" (in development, with support from the IBERMEDIA SERIES 2021 Program). She currently works for the production company Bambú. She co-wrote the script for "Las Mantis" (El Médano Producciones), a project selected for several development workshops, including the 2019 Mallorca Talents Lab and the 2019 Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival Professional Conference, which received support from the IBERMEDIA Program.
